1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Last Frontier Events ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Last Frontier Events is an events calendar and business directory for Alaska. We aggregate event listings from public sources, user submissions, and business partners. We also provide business listing and advertising services.

3. User Accounts

You may create an account to save events, manage business listings, or subscribe to newsletters. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information when creating an account.

4. Event Listings

Event information is provided for informational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, event details (dates, times, prices, locations) may change without notice. Always verify with the event organizer before attending.

We reserve the right to remove or modify event listings that violate our guidelines, contain inappropriate content, or are found to be fraudulent.

5. Business Listings

Businesses can list on Last Frontier Events for free (basic listing) or purchase premium placements. Business owners are responsible for the accuracy of their listing information. We reserve the right to remove listings that violate our guidelines.

Premium business listings are billed monthly via Stripe. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. No refunds for partial months.

6. Ticketing

Last Frontier Events provides a ticketing platform for events listed on the site. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. By purchasing a ticket you agree that:

  • The event organizer (the venue or promoter, not Last Frontier Events) is responsible for the event itself — running it on time, delivering what was advertised, handling refunds, and complying with local laws.
  • Last Frontier Events is the technology platform that connects buyers to organizers. We are not the promoter, host, or guarantor of any event.
  • Refund policies are set per-event by the organizer and shown on the buy page before you purchase. Where no refund policy is listed, the organizer's default applies; contact the organizer to request a refund.
  • Sales tax (if applicable) is the responsibility of the event organizer. If your jurisdiction requires it and the organizer hasn't collected it, that's between you and the organizer.
  • Tickets are non-transferable unless the organizer explicitly allows transfers. We are not responsible for tickets bought from third parties or resale sites.
  • The QR code on your pass is the proof of purchase. Lost your email? Contact us with your order ID and we'll resend.
  • Service fees (currently 2% + $0.99 per ticket) cover platform operating costs and are non-refundable even if the underlying ticket is refunded.

Last Frontier Events reserves the right to refund any order at our discretion if we suspect fraud, abuse, or violation of these terms.

7. Organizers Using Our Platform

If you sell tickets through Last Frontier Events as an event organizer or venue, you additionally agree:

  • You are responsible for the event you list — running it on schedule, providing what was advertised, and handling buyer complaints.
  • You are responsible for collecting and remitting any sales tax, ticket tax, or other applicable taxes on your sales.
  • You will publish a clear refund policy on each event. If you don't publish one, you agree to honor reasonable refund requests up to 24 hours before the event.
  • If you accept Stripe Connect payouts directly, you must complete Stripe's required verification (KYC) and provide accurate tax information (W-9 / 1099-K threshold compliance is your responsibility).
  • You may not list illegal events, age-restricted events without proper age verification, or events that violate Alaska state law.
  • Last Frontier Events keeps 2% + $0.99 per ticket as a service fee. Stripe's own card-processing fees come out of your share, not ours.

8. User Content

By submitting events, reviews, or other content, you grant Last Frontier Events a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display and distribute that content on our platform. You retain ownership of your content.

9. Prohibited Use

You agree not to:

  • Submit fraudulent or misleading event/business listings
  • Scrape or bulk-download content without permission
  • Use the service for spam, harassment, or illegal purposes
  • Attempt to interfere with the service's operation

10. Limitation of Liability

Last Frontier Events is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the service, attendance at listed events, or interactions with listed businesses. Use the service at your own risk.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
